Kokanee Sniper Stands Out in Alex Ross's Rod Arsenal.

I was graciously invited by our Wraptor Pro Staff guide, Alex Ross of the Trinity Guide Co. and Richie Hight of Paulina Peak Tackle to venture out to California to do some product testing on our new Kokanee Sniper Rod at Lake Berryessa. It is the largest lake in Napa County with some of the best Kokanee fishing in the state. It was a no-brainer to go on this adventure, I truly couldn't wait to see the pairing of Paulina Peak Tackle's most successful Kokanee gear and our superior Kokanee rod in action. Just a pure abundance of anticipation to see what that team would produce for myself. The 8-foot Kokanee Sniper designed with the hard core troller in mind, is the ultimate Kokanee trolling rod. It's all the flex where you need it yet has power. The sponge like action and stiffness at the reel seat, provides this rod the ability to handle larger classes of fish and still have the sensitivity needed for small Kokanee and trout. The Sniper has been put to the test from Flaming Gorge to the top lakes on the West Coast. These rods out perform unlike any other rod on the market, offering the highest quality components, complete versatility and each rod is fully custom designed.

The trip was beyond a success with limits for all, and for me personally some of the largest Kokanee I have ever fished for. Brilliant Kokanee shine about as bright as our smiles. Paulina Peak Tackle's Skateboard dodgers ruled the day with Wonderbread being the best. Hands down the winning lures of the day were the Cotton Candy spinner hoochie with the Top Gun purple/ pink spinner coming in a close second. Watching the action of the rod with each bite and feeling the fight to the boat was a thrill I won't soon forget and can't wait to do it again. With the combination of the Sniper and Paulina Peak Tackle's best gear, the Kokanee don't stand a chance. Fish fighting, great company, lots of laughter and memory making. Its not just fishing.
